AgroFresh Solutions, Inc., a global company especialized in postharvest freshness preservation solutions, continues to expand its FreshCloud™ digital ecosystem through two new strategic global partnerships. The collaborations with Aerobotics, a leader in orchard and packhouse analytics, and Neolithics, a pioneer in AI-driven quality inspection, position FreshCloud as the industry’s most comprehensive digital platform for quality management and fresh-produce supply chains.

By aggregating real-time data from multiple sources, FreshCloud provides more options at every stage of the fresh-produce supply chain through digitally integrated quality measurements. Building on its partnerships with sensor innovators Rubens Technologies, Strella, and Escavox, AgroFresh continues to expand its connected sensors platform for postharvest management. This growing ecosystem allows growers, packers, and retailers to make faster, data-driven decisions that reduce waste, improve quality, and increase profitability.

“AgroFresh is committed to building the most comprehensive and connected digital platform for fresh produce,” said Bradford Warner, Chief Digital Solutions Officer at AgroFresh. “By integrating partners like Aerobotics and Neolithics, FreshCloud now connects information from the orchard to the packhouse like never before.”

Accurate performance insights with Aerobotics’ TrueFruit®

AgroFresh’s alliance with Aerobotics integrates multiple TrueFruit® modules into FreshCloud™, enabling AI-powered intelligence for orchards and packing operations. Using computer vision and smartphone-based AI image analysis, Aerobotics allows producers to:

  • Measure fruit size, color, and quality accurately and objectively

  • Improve harvest planning with precise size forecasts, defect detection, and color-grading models

“Aerobotics has always focused on giving growers and packers highly accurate performance insights,” said James Paterson, CEO of Aerobotics. “We are excited to partner with AgroFresh, a key leader in our industry, to bring TrueFruit® to more customers and combine the power of our technology with FreshCloud™. Together, these solutions seamlessly extend insight from the orchard into the postharvest stage, ensuring data continuity and better decision-making throughout the entire value chain.”

Next-generation quality control with Neolithics

With the integration of Neolithics into AgroFresh’s FreshCloud ecosystem, packhouses now have access to a technology that delivers quality control at the speed and scale required by modern operations—turning inspection into a source of confidence rather than risk. Neolithics’ AI-driven imaging system:

  • Performs high-throughput inspections, from 1 kg per minute for berries to over 6 tons per hour for avocados, analyzing every item to assess internal and external quality

  • Measures key parameters such as Brix levels, acidity, and dry matter, while detecting hidden internal and surface defects

  • Conducts the entire process non-destructively, achieving over 90% accuracy

“We want our customers to protect their products through non-destructive, high-volume quality inspections that reduce waste and increase transparency from field to shelf,” said Kate Murray, CEO of Neolithics. “We are excited to integrate with AgroFresh and the FreshCloud ecosystem to help realize our shared vision of a more sustainable and transparent food chain.”
