Tomatoes, the star attraction at Fruit Attraction, will have a prominent presence at the Rijk Zwaan stand (9D23), where this year the company is collaborating with Coexphal by sponsoring a series of activities focused on this product. The company will participate in initiatives such as a greenhouse-exhibit, tastings and networking spaces to showcase the diversity of its portfolio and the quality of tomatoes. These actions are part of its Tomeet initiative, which encompasses congresses, technical field days, talks with growers and technicians, meetings with companies, personalized visits to the El Ejido Testing and Demonstration Center (CED) and participation in international trade shows such as Madrid.Tip Top

Also featured will be its Rugose Defense range, offering a wide variety of materials noted for their high resistance to the rugose virus (ToBRFV), an essential ally for growers and marketers. “It has been a very good season, as the market recognizes and places its trust in our solutions,” says Manuel Hernández, Tomato Crop Specialist. “A couple of years ago, producers began introducing resistant materials, and within two more years the varietal shift could represent nearly 90%.”

Expanding the portfolio

The seed company continues to expand its Rugose Defense catalogue, which includes materials such as Monfury RZ, a marmande that ripens red; the cluster tomato Ricosol RZ; and a broad selection of cherry tomatoes, including new releases such as the loose yellow Kemery RZ, joining the already known red Cuarzyta RZ and Coralyta RZ; along with the cherry plum Abrametto RZ and Laurencetto RZ; and the cherry cluster varieties Talavante RZ and Magiquia RZ. In the premium segment, standout varieties include the cherry cluster Hyrule RZ, Hateno RZ and Proventura RZ.
In addition, the company will introduce several new varieties throughout the season across different segments, expanding a portfolio that has proven adaptable to market demands and phytosanitary challenges.
