“Staying grounded”: VOG Products releases 2022-2024 sustainability report

VOG Products has made impressive progress in terms of environmental and resource protection, according to its latest sustainability report with the title “Staying grounded"

The sustainability strategy of VOG Products continued to place a special focus on the topics of water and energy or more precisely, climate protection in the most recent fiscal year.

With measures like cooling water optimisation, the company successfully posted a significant reduction in water consumption (-28% as compared to the previous year).

In terms of energy, it expanded its photovoltaic systems to an output of 1,777 kWp. The total Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions were reduced by more than 3,000 tonnes CO2 equivalent (-12% as compared to the previous year).

Strengthening agriculture in the region, the producer organisation disbursed 63.5 million euros to its members in the last fiscal year. This amount is part of the company’s sustainability strategy, which prioritises social and economic responsibility alongside ecological responsibility. By strengthening its member cooperatives and supporting the apple farmers, VOG Products makes an active contribution to the sustainable development of the region.

Long-term sustainability goals

The goal of VOG Products is to be a pioneer in the sustainable food production sector. The long-term corporate goals around sustainability are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations and continue to focus on resource-conserving production and supporting initiatives around the circular economy and the utilisation of by-products.
