Iberian Premium Fruits has integrated The Natural Hand, a Valencian firm specializing in the production and commercialization of premium-quality persimmons and citrus fruits. This move aims to establish the group as a European leader in the production and distribution of not only premium oranges and mandarins but also other high-value-added products.
The Natural Hand, an expert in extra-quality persimmons and currently based in Albal (Valencia), produces 35% of its output on its own farms. Since 2013, the company has been exporting to Asian countries, enabling it to expand into new markets where it previously had no presence.
It’s worth noting that Iberian Premium Fruits was established in April 2023, following the union of Llusar and Torres in 2021—two leading companies in the premium orange and mandarin sector. In June 2023, V-ROS, the largest specialist in leafed clementines, joined the group.
With the addition of The Natural Hand, the group will now manage over 1,200 hectares of production across Spain and South Africa, offering more than 25 varieties of oranges and mandarins alongside persimmons and other high-value-added products.
Simultaneously, as part of the integration, The Natural Hand will relocate to a new facility in Alcácer (Valencia), spanning 14,000 m², which will triple its production capacity. This expansion will contribute to a total of 89,000 m² of facilities across Almenara, Chilches, Vilavella, and Alquerías del Niño Perdido in Castellón, and the new site in Alcácer.
The company forecasts a 15% growth for the 2024/2025 campaign, reaching a turnover of €200 million thanks to this new addition.
Freshness, quality, and unique flavor
Xavi Nolla, the group’s general director, expressed his satisfaction, stating, “In our group, we work to ensure the freshness, quality, and unique flavor of our oranges, mandarins, and other fruits stand as our differentiating hallmark and competitive edge in the sector. We offer a high-quality product in multiple formats that provide clients and consumers with a distinctive value. Above all, we have a dedicated and professional team that ensures excellence throughout the entire process, from harvest to delivery at the point of sale.”
