This strategic alliance was concluded during a meeting in Yangling (China) at the end of November between Philippe Guerret, CEO of M2i Group, and Mr. Cui Yinzhong, Chairman of Pherobio. This partnership marks a major milestone for the industry, paving the way for more advanced and efficient solutions soon to be made available to farmers.

Cooperation

The two companies, experts in pheromones for biological crop protection, have announced a long-term agreement including technical, industrial and commercial cooperation. The two companies also intend to strengthen their cooperation in research and development by combining their respective expertise, technology platforms and field trial networks. By leveraging their complementary assets, M2i Group and Pherobio aim to accelerate the development and registration of new pheromone-based solutions, shorten the time-to-market for innovative products and broaden the range of targets and crops covered. This closer collaboration is expected to significantly speed up the deployment of next-generation biocontrol technologies and bring additional, sustainable tools to farmers facing increasing regulatory and environmental constraints. Thus, this partnership is an important step towards the large-scale deployment of pheromone-based solutions in field crops worldwide, with a particular focus on protecting maize and rice against key insect pests.

“I am very pleased to conclude this highly synergistic partnership between our highly complementary product lines, technology platforms and geographic footprints.” comments Philippe Guerret, Chief Executive Officer of M2i Group.

“We are delighted to partner with M2i Group, whose leadership in biocontrol and international presence perfectly complement Pherobio’s strengths in pheromone innovation and manufacturing in China.” said Mr. Cui Yinzhong, Chief Executive Officer of Pherobio. “By joining forces, we will be able to accelerate the development and adoption of pheromone-based solutions in major crops and key markets, and provide farmers with more effective and environmentally friendly alternatives for pest management.”
