Macfrut 2026 moves to earlier dates

Macfrut 2026, the international trade fair dedicated to the entire fruit and vegetable supply chain, has announced new developments for its upcoming edition, scheduled from Tuesday, April 21 to Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Rimini Expo Centre
MACFRUT-2026

The first major change concerns the calendar: Macfrut 2026 will take place a few weeks earlier than usual, as it has traditionally been held at the beginning of May.

At the heart of the 43rd edition will be two flagship fruits from the global fruit and vegetable sector: avocado and mango. As symbols of a fast-growing segment in both production and consumption, these tropical fruits will take centre stage in specialised events, technical insights, and commercial discussions featuring experts, buyers, and producers from around the world.

Renzo Piraccini, president of Macfrut, explains that the organisation has designed true B2B sessions with a comprehensive approach, aimed at both producers and buyers. Over the course of one day, they will be able to connect with the main production and sales areas for avocados and mangoes. “We’ve significantly named them Avocado Day and Mango Day, and scheduled them on two separate days to create new business opportunities,” he states.

Macfrut 2026 will also confirm the expansion of the Healthy Food Area, a space dedicated to fresh and processed products rich in nutritional value, in line with the latest consumption trends. This initiative will highlight these so-called superfoods through tastings, meetings, and demo activities specifically targeting the Horeca channel and food retailers.
