Natural Tropic expects to reach 4,000 t of mango

The company faces the new campaign with higher mango production and quality, and also has positive prospects for avocado

The Málaga-based company Natural Tropic is closing the season with record figures. So far in 2025, the company has increased its production volume by 20% compared to the previous year, thus consolidating its growth trend in subtropicals. Mango and avocado remain its main pillars, although pistachio is gaining prominence in its diversification strategy.

According to general manager Prudencio López, the new mango campaign will kick off in early September with very good expectations. The harvest, which will reach 4,000 tons (compared to 3,500 last year), stands out not only for the increase in volume, but also for particularly homogeneous quality and size. As for avocado, forecasts also point to a positive year in terms of production.

These good results add to those already achieved during the 2024/25 season, which the company described as “historic in turnover,” nearing €50 million. Growth was supported, among other factors, by a 15% increase in mango and avocado volumes and the incorporation of advanced machinery for selecting fruit according to ripeness and color. This equipment has enabled greater efficiency and precision in warehouse operations.

Pistachio: doubling volume

At the same time, it continues to bet on pistachio, a crop with less variability than fresh fruit and one that keeps gaining ground. This year they will double production, going from 250 to 500 tons, and will also do so with new formats adapted to retail, such as biodegradable tubs. This progress adds to the qualitative leap made in 2024 with the launch of its Baza plant and the achievement of IFS certification.
