Once again, Proexport will be joined by its member companies in an exhibition area of more than 2,000 m² to showcase to the world the excellence, innovation, and commitment to sustainability that define the fruit and vegetable sector of the Region of Murcia and Southeast Spain. As Proexport president Mariano Zapata noted, “Fruit Attraction is a unique opportunity to showcase the talent of our producers, who attend this event with the goal of consolidating reliable commercial relationships, boosting business networking, and opening new business opportunities with distributors, importers, wholesalers, processors, restaurant chains, suppliers, and international buyers.”
Tomatoes take center stage
In this edition, Spanish tomatoes will be the Product of the Year at Fruit Attraction 2025 (https://tomateproductoestrella.es/). Proexport will actively participate in the promotional initiatives organized around this iconic crop, with its members Grupo Hortofrutícola Paloma, OP Looije, Grupo Perichán, and Bonnysa Agroalimentaria hosting tastings of Murcian tomato culinary creations at the Region of Murcia stand (Hall 7). These tastings will take place on October 1 at 11:00 a.m. and on October 2 at 10:30 a.m.
The program of activities will culminate on Wednesday afternoon with the Tomato Awards 2025 ceremony at the Andalusian Regional Government stand, recognizing key figures in the development of tomato production in Spain. The celebrations will continue with the Tomato Party at Proexport’s stand (Hall 7, stand 7D09), an open event for the entire national and international tomato sector, designed as a relaxed and enjoyable meeting point for professionals, specialized media, and tomato lovers.
Building trust on an international scale
Proexport members have already scheduled more than 300 commercial meetings and business encounters during the three-day fair. The Region of Murcia maintains national leadership in the production of lettuce, endives and salads, broccoli, celery, artichoke, melon, lemon, and table grapes, and ranks second in tomato, pepper, watermelon, zucchini, and peach. The presence of Proexport companies at Fruit Attraction 2025 reflects their international vocation, with production supplying markets in more than 50 countries.
In today’s context of increasing global competition, Proexport members emphasize their commitment to varietal innovation, efficient water use, certified quality, and service to the distribution sector as cornerstones of trust for their clients across Europe and beyond.
