Henry Smienk, the company’s Marketing manager, indicates that they want to emphasise the main vegetable segments they work with in Almeria.
“Romancero F1 is a prominent variety amongst the main marketers from the Almeria province due to its unstoppable production and extraordinary quality,” according to José Luís Marquéz, Tomato Sales Manager. “Due to the quality of its fruit, its brightness, colour and firmness, Romancer F1 holds one of the leading positions in the best vine tomato varieties. Its plant is also adapted to both long and short cycles.”
Aubergines
Antonio Cortés Lorenzo, the Aubergine Sales Manager at Ramiro Arnedo, spotlighted the Serafina F1 variety during the three days of the Infoagro Exhibition. This new development in aubergines for late cycles has a bright black colour, good pistil closure, a thorn-free, green-coloured calyx that has few villi. Serafina F1 forms part of a complete catalogue of aubergines from Ramiro Arnedo, alongside Lola F1, Tina F1, Jaspe F1 and Turquesa F1.
Highlights in pepper
In its extensive catalogue of pepper varieties, Ramiro Arnedo presented its new variety Clipeo F1, the red California pepper with maximum production and uniformity with resistance to powdery mildew. This California pepper with a G-GG calibre has an excellent fruit consistency, with versatility for harvesting either red or green, without any silvering. Alongside Broquel F1 and Menes F1, Clipeo F1 completes the 2022-2023 offer from Ramiro Arnedo in its California pepper with resistance to powdery mildew (Lt).
“Another variety that we spotlighted at Infoagro, but in the Lamuyo segment, is Palomeque F1”, Jorge Bervel, Head of Peppers at Ramiro Arnedo, remarked. Recommended for transplanting from the 25th of July to the 10th of August, Palomeque F1 is a Lamuyo that will guarantee farmers a sturdy plant and large, heavy fruit.
Cucumbers
The Cucumber Sales Manager, Pablo García, indicated that “amongst the most outstanding varieties in cucumber is Bastian F1, a variety with a strong root system, very homogeneous fruit, and a dark colour with distinct grooving. This variety offers protection against diseases, very high production and excellent quality throughout the cycle.”
