The resource center will be available free of charge on the Sinclair website. It was created to provide educational content to help understand regulations, compostable products, composting, product certification and much more. The aim of this portal is to provide stakeholders in the packaging sector, and even consumers, with the resources they need to make informed decisions. Over time, it will become a comprehensive and ever-expanding resource center.
Technical topics within everyone’s reach
“Since the launch last year of our certified compostable label, Sinclair – T55, we have identified a significant gap in clear and accessible information on packaging waste and compostable products,” says Duncan Jones, Senior Marketing Director at Sinclair. Compostable products, and the issues surrounding them, can quickly become very technical. This complexity is compounded by the lack of global harmonization in sustainable packaging regulations, which has led to staggered and delayed implementation in different regions. “We see the urgent need to share our expertise and knowledge on the technical aspects and issues related to compostable fruit labels, as well as labeling systems in general,” he adds.

“We started small, but our goal is to create a robust knowledge site by actively listening to our customers and industry stakeholders. As packaging continues to evolve rapidly, our goal is to bring clarity to our space by sharing knowledge and resources based on data and facts that truly add value. This is an exciting step to make the industry’s high-quality knowledge more accessible to everyone,” says Jones.
