2025 marks a special milestone for Apofruit Italia. The Romagna-based cooperative, which now brings together 2,700 fruit and vegetable producers across Italy’s key agricultural regions, is celebrating its 65th anniversary. To commemorate this achievement, the cooperative has planned five special events from May to September.
The first celebration will take place in Cesena on Sunday, May 4, right before the opening of Macfrut 2025. The event will welcome members, employees, and institutions, featuring a ceremonial cake-cutting. The renowned TV host Tessa Gelisio will present the event, with Luigi Manfrini, associate professor at the Department of Agro-Food Sciences and Technologies of the University of Bologna, as a guest speaker. Comedian Paolo Cevoli will provide entertainment.
On Tuesday, May 6, celebrations move to Rimini’s seafront, with a lively evening featuring the comedic duo Ale and Franz, bringing together clients, suppliers, and partners. Andrea Bignami, journalist and coordinator of SkyTg24 Economia, will host the event, with a technical talk by Giuliano Noci, Vice-Rector of the Politecnico di Milano.
Further events will take place in other key regions:
- June 27 in Aprilia, with a celebration for Central Italy’s producers.
- July 4 in Altedo, where cooperative leaders will meet producers from Emilia and Triveneto.
- September 26 in Scanzano Jonico, gathering members from Basilicata, Puglia, Calabria, and Sicily.
