Citrosol arrives in Berlin with an imposing space

The company has an extensive catalogue of effective and innovative solutions and at this year’s trade fair it will focus on highlighting SunSeal Vegan and PlantSeal® vegetable coatings, and CitroFy® technology

The Valencian company is located in Hall 18, where its stand A-25 occupies an imposing space of 56m² under the design of its renewed brand image. Citrosol presents here its latest innovations designed to maintain freshness and extend the life of fruit and vegetables.

SunSeal Vegan® & PlantSeal® coatings

One of Citrosol’s most successful solutions are its plant-based coatings, especially its flagship products: SunSeal® Vegan and PlantSeal®. The first, certified with V-LABEL, is an evolution of the SunSeal® citrus coating, launched in 2017. This coating not only improves protection in long-distance shipments and cold storage, but also addresses market demands, offering an eco-friendly and vegan solution.

On the other hand, the new SunSeal® Vegan-D formulation has been designed for degreened citrus fruits, enabling better colour development during refrigerated transport. In addition, for those operators looking for a superior shine, Citrosol presents SunSeal® Vegan-Extra. These two products, in addition to improving shine and low drying temperatures, have also been shown to reduce weight loss by up to 45%, optimizing the shelf life of citrus fruits.

CitroFy, latest live demonstrations

Citrosol will also present its CitroFy system during the event, providing visitors with the last opportunity to witness live demonstrations within the framework of a trade fair such as Fruit Logistica. CitroFy is an all-in-one solution that allows the real-time connection of Citrosol’s application systems and the control of their parameters.

From monitoring to controlling the consumption of fungicides, coatings, and water, CitroFy offers an intuitive and contextualized experience, adapted to each client’s needs. This system, designed to work from any device with an Internet connection, provides total control over the condition of the fruit, allowing efficient management of the post-harvest treatment.

Solutions for fresh-cut produce

Citrosol is currently implementing its fresh-cut solution, the Citrocide®  Fresh-Cut System, in the market, thereby considerably reducing its water and carbon footprint in the production of fresh-cut fruit and vegetables. With all its treatments and technologies, the company contributes enormously to reducing food losses and waste in fresh fruit and vegetables.

The company is ready to offer a unique experience at this year’s Fruit Logistica, highlighting its plant-based coatings and the advanced CitroFy system. It invites all attendees to visit its stand to learn about these innovative solutions and discover how Citrosol continues to lead the way in post-harvest technologies.

Citrosol currently has 109 employees, 8 of them located in various countries and in its subsidiary in South Africa, Citrosol South Africa Pty, and Peru. At its facilities in Potries, the company has an R&D+i laboratory and a pilot plant of just over 1,200 m2. Its organic growth has been largely due to its strong innovative nature, having received CEPYME’s Innovation Award in 2015 and 2020, and the Valencia Chamber of Commerce’s 2020 Business Innovation Award.
