The Consorzio Italiano Vivaisti (CIV) announces the appointment of Federico Stanzani as its new General Manager. Stanzani, who has been an integral part of the company for the past two years as Commercial Director, has demonstrated commitment, expertise, and a strategic vision for the future of the Consortium.
With this appointment, CIV is preparing for a phase of growth and renewal, strengthening its position in the nursery and fruit-growing sector in line with its mission to innovate fruit cultivation for a more efficient and sustainable future.
“I am honored to take on this new role and to further contribute to the development and innovation of CIV,” said Stanzani. “We will work with determination to strengthen our strategies and activities, tackling future challenges with a constant focus on sustainability and innovation.”
CIV President Mauro Grossi added: “This appointment represents just the first of a series of important developments that will see the Consortium take center stage in the coming months, confirming the company’s continuous evolution and its mission of excellence in the genetic improvement of fruit species.”
40th Anniversary
The appointment comes at a particularly significant moment for the Consortium, which recently celebrated its 40th anniversary. Founded 40 years ago on the initiative of three leading companies in the Italian fruit sector – our members Salvi Vivai, Mazzoni Vivai, and Tagliani Vivai – CIV has established itself as a key player in varietal innovation for the fruit supply chain.
Now, under the leadership of Federico Stanzani, the Consortium aims to strengthen and expand its development strategies, with a focus on advanced research, sustainability, and genetic improvement. With four decades of experience and a forward-looking vision, CIV will continue investing in cutting-edge programs to create new fruit varieties capable of meeting the industry’s challenges. The goal is to offer innovative solutions that combine superior organoleptic quality, high productivity, and greater resilience to climate change and diseases, confirming the Consortium’s role as a strategic partner for the entire production chain.
