Parr founded Perishable Movements Ltd (PML) in 2003 and led the business through its acquisition by the Seafrigo Group in July 2023. He continued with the company as a Director and was appointed CEO of PML Seafrigo UK & Ireland in August 2024. His departure marks the close of more than three decades of leadership in the temperature-controlled logistics sector.
Sean Smith assumed the role of CEO on 1 December 2025. He joins PML Seafrigo with extensive experience across air, ocean and road freight, as well as a strong background in strategic business advisory services. His career includes senior roles supporting clients with growth strategies, performance optimisation and long-term operational planning.
Smith’s experience includes working within a family-owned logistics business that was later integrated into a global logistics group, providing him with first-hand insight into managing growth and transformation within an international network. This background positions him well to lead PML Seafrigo through its next phase of development as part of the Seafrigo Group, whose cold chain logistics operations span 26 countries across five continents.

Speaking on his appointment, Smith said:

My focus will be on building on these strengths, working closely with the team to deliver sustainable growth aligned with Seafrigo Group’s long-term vision.”
Sean Smith will oversee a workforce of 115 permanent employees and will be based across PML Seafrigo’s operations in Heathrow and Kent.
