The new Dutch cucumber for early crops, Hoplita, stands out due to its earliness, speed of growth and production
During October, the cucumber team from Seminis has been promoting its new Dutch cucumber variety for early crops, Hoplita. A hundred farmers and technicians in Almeria were able to see the characteristics of this new product, which stands out due to its swift entry into production and high final productivity.
Hoplita, recommended for August planting, is a variety with triple resistance to vein, yellowing and powdery mildew virus; highly productive in the early cycle both on canes and in regrowth thanks to its early and continuous setting without losing any cucumbers. The uniformity of its fruit, both in shape and size, with very little bottleneck, makes it ideal for export.
With the new variety for early crops, the company has completed its catalogue, which also has Espartaco for middle crops and SV0091CE for late ones.
