This presence reaffirmed the country’s positioning as a reliable, competitive and sustainability-driven supplier, capable of meeting the demands of the most sophisticated international markets. Recognised as the main global meeting point for producers, exporters, importers and distributors in the fresh produce sector, Fruit Logistica once again served as a strategic showcase to strengthen business relationships and explore new commercial opportunities.

At this edition, Colombia was represented by a delegation of 22 companies dedicated to the production and export of exotic fruits, Hass avocados and citrus, categories that have become key pillars of the country’s export offering. These products stood out in international markets for their high quality, distinctive flavour and added value, as well as for the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices that are responsible towards the environment and rural communities.

The European market remained the main trading partner for Colombian fresh fruit and vegetables. In 2024, Europe accounted for 70% of exports in this category, with sales reaching USD 1.295 billion, reflecting strong demand for Colombian produce across the continent.

Likewise, between January and November 2025, Europe continued to lead Colombian exports of fresh fruit and vegetables, with a value of USD 1.411 billion, representing a 69% share of the total and a 19% increase compared to the same period of the previous year. These figures highlighted the strength of the trade relationship and the growing recognition of Colombia as a strategic global supplier.

Within this context, Germany consolidated its position as a key destination for Colombian exports, driven by consumers who are increasingly interested in differentiated, healthy and sustainably sourced products.

Fruit Logistica 2026 opened up new opportunities to present Colombia’s export offering in line with global consumption trends. The participation of these companies reflected the country’s commitment to internationalisation, agricultural innovation and market diversification, as well as to creating greater commercial opportunities for the fresh produce sector. Through its presence at the fair, Colombia sought to further consolidate its image as a reliable and sustainable origin, capable of adding value to global fresh fruit and vegetable supply chains.
