The Rocha Pear harvest will reach 116,000 tonnes

The 2025 Rocha Pear harvest from ANP members reached 115,990 tonnes, almost identical to 2024 (+1%) but about half the volume of 2021. National production is estimated at 12,000 tonnes, with ANP members representing 8% of the total

This marks the fourth consecutive year of production below potential, mainly due to adverse weather conditions and unprecedented phytosanitary challenges, which also increased production costs.

The stock is largely composed of smaller calibres, with around 60% of fruit at 60 mm or less, and less than 20% above 65 mm.

Despite these challenges, ANP remains committed to supplying traditional markets with the quality of PDO Pera Rocha do Oeste, while ensuring the long- term sustainability of its producers.
