Home of Apples took part in BIOFACH 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for the organic sector, held in Nuremberg from 10 to 13 February 2026, confirming the excellent performance of its organic apple season and reinforcing its leading position in the European organic market.

“The organic sector continues to record steady growth and presents positive prospects for the future,” explains Klaus Hölzl, Sales Manager at VOG. “We are satisfied with the current season: in addition to very high product quality, we have further improved storage capacity and increased production potential, while also optimising our packing department, for example through the introduction of net-packed products. Thanks to a broad and structured varietal assortment, we now position ourselves as a reliable partner in managing the organic apple category year-round, responding with continuity and flexibility to the needs of both consumers and retailers.”

VOG guarantees year-round coverage

VOG’s organic assortment is among the most extensive and varied in Europe, thanks to the work of 300 family farms within the Consortium that have chosen organic cultivation and manage it with full dedication. This diversity begins with the different altitudes at which apples are grown and is reflected in a varied assortment and distinctive sensory richness, forming the basis of the different product lines through which VOG guarantees year-round availability and continuous supply across Europe.

“The results we see today reflect growth built over time, with volumes steadily increasing year after year,” explains Hannes Tauber, Marketing Manager at VOG. “The organic sector has evolved, and with it the expectations of consumers, who today look beyond taste and increasingly seek products that express values, identity and lifestyle.

BIOFACH was the perfect opportunity to showcase how VOG supports this evolution, offering a structured and comprehensive assortment: from traditional apples to established brands and innovative proposals that particularly appeal to younger consumers, who are currently driving organic consumption growth. Our approach allows us to offer the right apple for every preference and every occasion.”

The breadth and richness of the varietal range underpin VOG’s organic segmentation strategy, which is always focused on consumer needs. The Consortium’s organic offer is structured around two complementary lines: traditional apples, ensuring stability and recognition on shelves; and club apples, which enhance the offer with distinctive brands and innovations capable of sustaining the development of the organic segment.

Freshness and aroma

Traditional offerings, marketed under the Marlene® Bio and Biosüdtirol brands, include a line of sweet red apples such as Gala, Fuji and Inored Story®, available 12 months a year and particularly appreciated by children. The range is complemented by sweet-tart red varieties such as Braeburn, Topaz and Bonita, combining freshness and aroma; as well as Golden Delicious and Granny Smith, chosen by consumers who prefer a sharper, more pronounced taste.

Club apples complete VOG’s organic assortment, adding variety and distinctive character. Among the most established brands are Pink Lady® Bio and Kanzi® Bio, already strong references in retail and increasingly appreciated by consumers. More recent introductions with strong innovative potential include Natyra®, Cosmic Crisp® Bio, RedPop® Bio and Giga® Bio, which not only add freshness and diversity to the range but also capture the preferences of younger generations — currently driving organic consumption growth — confirming VOG’s role as an innovation engine in this segment as well. The ability to offer highly innovative solutions makes VOG a decisive partner, adding value even in challenging market conditions.

“Organic remains a strategic segment for VOG,” concludes Hölzl. “Our organic offer allows us to present a comprehensive assortment capable of recognising and satisfying diverse consumer needs. Thanks to continuous improvements in storage, packaging and production capacity, combined with year-round availability, VOG continues to consolidate its position as a benchmark partner with solutions that remain aligned with evolving market demands.”
