Aguacatera del Sur points out that, among international avocado origins, Peru remains the market leader, although Colombia and Brazil are gaining ground during the summer window, albeit still well behind Peruvian volumes.
The company warns, however, that the effects of El Niño are already beginning to be felt in Peru and could result in a significant decline in volumes next year.

At the same time, South Africa is losing ground due to quality issues linked to logistical difficulties, a situation that, according to the company, has damaged the image of this origin among consumers.
Against a backdrop of growing international supply, Aguacatera del Sur highlights proximity and quality as the main strengths of Spanish avocados. Looking ahead, the company aims to consolidate its existing partnerships with customers and continue expanding its presence in the retail channel across its different product categories, with avocado and mango among its current areas of growth.
