MESSE BERLIN

FRUIT LOGISTICA Connect India, a new trade fair format under the globally recognised FRUIT LOGISTICA brand, will make its debut alongside BIOFACH INDIA.

The two events will take place from 25 to 27 May 2028 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, creating a stronger business platform for India’s fresh produce and organic food sectors while allowing each trade fair to retain its own identity, positioning and market focus.

The partnership combines the international networks and sector expertise of two of Germany’s leading trade fair organisers. By staging BIOFACH INDIA and FRUIT LOGISTICA Connect India alongside each other, the partners will give exhibitors and buyers access to complementary business communities and broader trade networks.

The collaboration also reflects their long-term commitment to the development and internationalisation of India’s fresh produce and organic food industries.

As part of the global BIOFACH trade fair network, BIOFACH INDIA has established itself as one of the country’s leading events for the organic sector. Its move to Mumbai marks the next stage in the brand’s growth strategy, strengthening its presence in one of India’s most important commercial and food trading hubs.

FRUIT LOGISTICA brings its fresh produce platform to India

FRUIT LOGISTICA Connect India will bring the FRUIT LOGISTICA brand to the Indian market, creating a dedicated business platform for the country’s fresh fruit and vegetable industry.

The event will connect growers, exporters, importers, wholesalers, retailers, logistics providers, technology companies and solution suppliers from across the fresh produce value chain.

Growing synergies between fresh produce and organic food

The co-location of the two events reflects the increasing links between the fresh produce and organic food sectors, particularly in areas such as sustainable production, international trade, supply chains, logistics, retail, innovation and technology.

By bringing these complementary areas together, the events aim to provide exhibitors and buyers with broader access to relevant business partners, new market opportunities and cross-sector connections.

Sonia Prashar, Chairperson of the Board and Managing Director of NürnbergMesse India, highlighted the potential of the partnership to connect Indian industries more closely with international markets and create additional value for exhibitors and buyers in both sectors.

“The co-location of FRUIT LOGISTICA Connect India and BIOFACH INDIA will create new opportunities for exhibitors, buyers and industry stakeholders while preserving the unique identity of each event.
