Apofruit is heading to Macfrut 2026, the international fruit and vegetable trade fair taking place from 21 to 23 April at the Rimini Expo Centre. As always, the place to be for trade professionals and buyers is at Stand 079,  Hall D1.

During the event, Apofruit will showcase a broad basket of 100% ‘Made in Italy’ produce, representing the work of approximately 2,700 producer members located across Italy’s most renowned fruit and vegetable growing areas. Quality, sustainability and varietal innovation remain the pillars of the cooperative’s offering, which is increasingly geared towards meeting the demands of a constantly evolving global market.

Key products featured at the stand will include Candine® and Joya® apples, Angello® seedless mini-peppers and a wide range of strawberries, including—from this year—Basilicata PGI strawberries. Thanks to ongoing research and varietal development, these products guarantee continuity of supply and high quality standards. They are successful additions that meet the needs of both Italian and international retailers.

Particular attention will be focused on the growing of avocados in Italy, a venture currently under development in Calabria by the cooperative’s member farms. Drawing on the Group’s technical expertise and established local partnerships, the initiative aims to optimise sustainable domestic production. Cultivation follows organic and integrated protocols, and this new addition is designed to tap into the growing European demand for this fruit.

“Participation at Macfrut 2026,” comments Ernesto Fornari, Managing Director of Apofruit Italia, “represents an important opportunity for engagement with the entire supply chain and leading industry players. We are bringing an increasingly sophisticated range to the fair, the result of our members’ commitment and a journey of continuous innovation that brings together production tradition with a vision for the future.”

“At Macfrut,” adds Gianluca Casadio, Marketing Manager at Apofruit Italia, “we want to share the cooperative’s identity through products, initiatives and strategies that focus on quality, sustainability and benefits for local communities. From strengthening established lines to new growing challenges, such as with Italian-grown avocados, we continue to invest in new products that can satisfy changing market tastes.”
