Citrosol’s ‘Know-how Container’ in Madrid

Citrosol is presenting in Madrid its ‘Know-how Container’, which shows citrus fruit export processes step by step

The exhibitor from the Valencian company, Citrosol will not go by unnoticed, since this year it is bringing a novel proposal to Ifema with its ‘Know-how container’ standing out. It is a container that can be used as a small exhibition room where visitors can see the most critical stages affecting citrus fruits until they reach their distant destinations in perfect conditions.

“A container that we will have permanently in our installations, but which we will take with us to trade fairs and events from now on”, the General and Science Manager from Citrosol, Benito Orihuel explains, adding that “the idea is to answer questions about what we do and how we do it to ensure that the produce arrives at its destination with all its freshness and flavour”.

Citrosol’s contribution in post-harvest processes is excellent, either in treatments in the drencher, with its ‘Vertido Cero’ or with its waxes; or with disinfection processes, where Fumispore stands out; or with the reduction of “damage due to cold” and spots with solutions such as Fortisol® Ca.

The container will be divided up into six panels with posters and display units showing harvesting, drencher treatment, waxing, pre-cooling, hygiene and finally transport. The company’s catalogue of products provides solutions to several of the most critical micro-processes in each stage.

The first in a series. Due to the importance of citrus fruits in Spain as the leading exporter worldwide and to the fact that this is the main target group for the company’s post-harvest solutions, the first container is devoted to them, but the company is ready to recreate other containers for fruit and vegetables.

Therefore, the ‘Know-how container’ by Citrosol will show the stages the citrus fruit pass through to be able to reach consumers in cities such as New York, Quebec, Hong Kong or Seoul in perfect conditions, using attractive scientific-technical information.
