Last December the company started marketing its own brand of kiwis: Kiwiquí.
The company, which traditionally has specialised in long distance imports, has opened up a new business line with its proximity being its specialising feature, since the new product comes from Northern Spain and Portugal. The brand name itself shows where it comes from: Kiwiquí, the one from here.
Marketing of this high quality, but competitively priced product started in December.
A local production. The proximity of the production is a very important advantage, since the fruit is harvested at its optimum point of ripeness, with a higher amount of brix degrees to that of imported kiwis and an unbeatable flesh texture.
Sandra Sitjar, marketing manager, emphasises that “at Cultivar we have guaranteed the selection of the best products in order to offer a fruit that satisfies our most demanding customers.”
Furthermore, the local production allows fast and flexible logistics to be offered, along with some highly adjusted costs and formats that can be adapted to each customer’s needs.
The executive explains that “given all the characteristics, the product can be supplied either loose or in layered boxes, in trays or bags, depending on each of our client’s demands.”
The Kiwiquí campaign will be able to continue until the end of June.
