HM.CLAUSE continues to extend its varieties across crops in Almeria with the new incorporations from its ION range. Its already well-known generation of California peppers with resistances to powdery mildew and/or nematodes offers many advantages in all the cycles, as has been observed throughout this campaign by the hundreds of people attending the company’s pepper open days.
In the early and medium segments (from the 10th of June to the 15th of July in the westerly region and one month earlier in the eastern area), Reacción F1 is a winning option within the red California pepper segment. According to dates, it overlaps with Abraham F1 and Azahar F1, and, in addition to following this line of quality, it also has the advantage of incorporating resistance to powdery mildew and nematodes.
For early and medium transplants (up to the 25th of July), they offer the red California Fisión F1, which has great quality and high production. Its fruit have G calibre, good behaviour against B.E.R., great quality, uniformity and a bright red colour.
Meanwhile, in yellow peppers, for the early cycle (1st to the 20th of July), Stelión F1 stands out: coming into production early, with G-GG calibre. For medium cycle (plantations from the 10th to the 25th of July), they have Ilusión F1, a variety that stands out due to its GG-GGG fruit, ideal for marketing loose or boxed and that is very easy to harvest.
Peppers of the ‘gods’
In addition to the abovementioned, already well-known materials in the sector, HM.CLAUSE has new incorporations in the ION range. Another three new developments have recently been launched, in this case for medium cycles. These are the yellow California Belisama F1, as a tribute to the Celtic goddess; and two red peppers, with names alluding to the Egyptian gods Ammon F1 and Serket F1.
All of them have resistance to powdery mildew and nematodes, L4 and spotted.
The first one, Belisama F1 (yellow), is focused on medium cycle (5th to the 20th of July). Its plant, which is moderately vigorous, produces G-GG fruit that are firm and homogenous throughout the entire cycle.
Also for the medium cycle (10th to the 31st of July), they are launching the red pepper Ammon F1. It has a very vigorous plant, with homogeneous G-GG fruit and good colour in both red and green.
And the third new development in medium plantations (5th to the 20th of July) is Serket F1. In this case, its open plant offers larger fruit, GG-GGG, ideal for local markets.
