From February 5 to 7, the Association of Fruit and Vegetable Producers-Exporters of the Region of Murcia (Proexport) and its member companies will participate in the Fruit Logistica fair in Berlin. Proexport’s group stand will be located in the Region of Murcia pavilion in Hall 18 (Spain).

This event is the most important mid-winter meeting point for horticultural companies from Murcia, attending with the goal of “dialoguing, listening, and addressing the needs of supermarkets, wholesalers, importers, and food processors who have trusted the producers of the Region of Murcia and southeastern Spain year after year,” said Mariano Zapata, president of the organization.

He shared some key points of these discussions:

“All our current and potential clients want to clear as many uncertainties as possible, ensure their shelves are supplied by trusted producers employing the best agricultural practices, avoid unnecessary food safety risks, and rely on fast and efficient cold logistics.”

Zapata emphasized: “Honestly, I believe we have the best answer to all of this here in southeastern Spain, within Europe itself, just 2 to 4 days from most destinations.”

Exhibiting Companies

Proexport will be present in the Region of Murcia group pavilion in Hall 18 (Spain) at the German fair, alongside its associated companies: Agrícola Santa Eulalia; Agridemur Marketing; Agrodolores El Mirador; Cricket; Fruveg Sdad. Coop.; G’s España Holdings; Hortofortini España; Kettle Produce España; Mercagrisa; SAT 9359 Bonnysa; SAT 9895 Primaflor; Procomel; Sol y Tierra Campo de Cartagena; Verdimed, and Tana.

Other associated producers exhibiting at the fair include: Grupo Hortofrutícola Paloma, Difrusa Export, and Fruca Marketing in Hall 11.2; Agromark in Hall 10.2; Agrar Systems in Hall 20; and OP Looije in Hall 3.2.

Germany is a key destination for the fruits and vegetables produced in the Region of Murcia. Zapata explained:

“German consumers highly value and demand our products, and it is common to find them on the shelves of their main supermarket chains. Undoubtedly, participating in ‘Fruit Logistica’ helps strengthen the market share of our agriculture in Germany and also in other European countries and globally.”
