AgroFresh recently completed its AgroFresh Xperience Roadshow across Italy’s key table grape production regions in Puglia and Basilicata, reinforcing its commitment to technical excellence, customer collaboration and innovation throughout the postharvest value chain.
The roadshow featured a series of targeted technical meetings led by Agricultural Engineer Oscar Coco Salgado, internationally recognized table grape specialist, together with AgroFresh representatives Enrico Albonetti and local commercial and technical teams. Discussions focused on critical field and postharvest challenges, including berry cracking, browning, stem drying, cold chain management, harvesting practices, storage optimization and operational efficiencies.
Meetings were held with leading organizations including C.J.O. Consorzio Ionico Ortofrutticoltori, APOFRUIT Italia, ORCHIDEA SRL, OP ARMONIA and DI PALMA DONATO & FIGLI SRL, engaging growers, warehouse managers, quality teams and technical operators directly at customer facilities.
A key objective of the AgroFresh Xperience Roadshow was to strengthen direct, face-to-face engagement with customers in the field and onsite operations. These in-person exchanges provide valuable insights into the real operational needs and challenges faced by growers and packers, allowing AgroFresh teams to better adapt technical recommendations and deliver more practical, customer-focused solutions.
AgroFresh strengthens its ties with the industry and its leadership in postharvest through the AgroFresh Xperience Roadshow
“The value of these visits comes from direct technical exchange with customers in their own operational environment,” said Agricultural Engineer Oscar Coco Salgado. “Every production and postharvest system has unique challenges, and collaboration is essential to delivering practical, effective solutions.”
The AgroFresh Xperience Roadshow reflects AgroFresh’s strategy to deepen customer partnerships while strengthening thought leadership in table grape production and postharvest management across the Mediterranean region.
AgroFresh plans to continue adapting its technical support and customer engagement initiatives throughout the upcoming season to support growers and packers with tailored, science-based solutions.
