Caparrós is promoting its Premium range

During this campaign, they will keep supporting the Lobello pear cherry with a 5% increase in the cultivated surface area

Commitment to quality is one of the flagships of Caparrós Premium. And this is not just a set phrase, it has been demonstrated by the Taste and Quality Institute awards (iTQi) that its Lobello pear cherry tomato (top score with three stars) and its Caparrós Premium seedless watermelon received on the 14th of June. This is one of the most prestigious awards in the food sector, since it is the only quality stamp for flavour granted by opinion leaders, chefs and sommeliers with Michelin stars and, therefore, it means a serious accolade in the search for excellence. Convinced that differentiation involves offering produce with high added value, in this 2017/18 season they are going to continue promoting the Premium brand. “Our Lobello Caparrós Premium tomato is our reference point and in this campaign we are planning a 5% increase in crop surface area compared to the previous campaign.” This means an increase not only in production volume, but also in the work by the different departments in the company that are involved, one way or another, in the success of the produce.

The Caparrós Group closed the last financial year with a total of 48,626,041 Kg and an invoicing of € 48,516,782.82. For this campaign, they expect to continue growing by around 5%. “We already have the goals marked out, along with the planning and our priorities. Now it is time to apply the right strategy to reach them and to do this we have a great human team,” sources from the company explained.

Extending the range

Their references in Ready-prepared and Ready-cooked ranges are already highly consolidated on the market and the Gergaleña brand is highly appreciated due to its excellence in quality and preparation, but they are not stopping there. Amongst the new developments to be presented this year, there is a new line: jams made from papaya, mango, strawberries and raspberries, all of them with a 60% fresh fruit content.

One of the things that characterises the Caparrós Group is its permanent commitment to innovation and research. Therefore, they are working on several projects. On the one hand, to improve and bring new produce onto the market and on the other hand, they are preparing three Operational Research Groups and continuing to develop a study that is in progress on biodiversity.

This year they are coming to Fruit Attraction with a stand (9E07A) that is committed to the sustainability and quality of their produce.
