Onubafruit’s raspberries complete the cycle

Onubafruit’s varieties of this red berry mean that the cooperative can be present on the markets virtually eleven months of the year

The vegetable material is the first support within the agrifood production chain. Good material defines, to a large extent, the producer’s success.

Imara, Kweli, Lagorai and Vajolet are four raspberry varieties that Onubafruit exclusively produces and markets, with the common element of flavour, which is better than the more traditional varieties. Varieties that today are reaching very high adaptation levels to the weather conditions and soil where they are planted and with significant acceptance by the markets and great satisfaction for the producer.

Commitment to innovation and overall quality have always been essential parts of this second degree cooperative’s spirit, which has managed to bring all its members together under these premises, seeking customer and end consumer satisfaction.

Onubafruit is the largest berry producer and marketer throughout Europe, producing over 60,000 tonnes of fresh fruit, including strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. On this point, Carlos Esteve, sales manager of the cooperative qualifies that “this allows us to have a very complete berry range that is difficult to beat regarding production lines, volume, quality and service, and it turns us into the total supplier in berries.”
