VI.P reveals the new features of its campaign in Madrid

Val Venosta will announce the new features of its campaign, taking advantage of the Madrid trade fair, not only for production, but also for marketing and the markets.

In addition, for the third year running the Italian company will award its Golden Gold prizes to the best Spanish fruit sellers.

VI.P is coming to this trade fair with a successful balance sheet for the 2015-2016 season. And it will give out all the details of this year’s harvest, which started at the end of August and that has been affected by some adverse weather problems.

The company is one of the largest European apple producers in terms of volume and quality, and it is one of the leaders regarding biological production with its BIO Val Venosta line. 50% of its production goes to the home market in Italy, whilst the remaining 50% goes to around 50 international markets amongst which the Iberian Mainland, Germany and the Scandinavian countries stand out. In recent years the penetration in regions such as the Middle East and Northern Africa has intensified, whilst the Spanish market has been consolidated and represents 10% of its sales.

At this edition, VI.P will have a 70 m² stand in hall 7 of IFEMA. A site where the most important figures from its organisational chart will pass through, its CEO Josef Wielander; the head of the BIO Val Venosta line, Gerhard Eberhöfer; the sales manager, Fabio Zanesco; the marketing manager, Michael Grasser and the sales manager for Spain, Christiane Gfrei.

On the 6th of October, at a meeting with the press, VI.P will reveal the winners of the 3rd edition of the Golden Gold Prizes, an initiative that acknowledges the role played by fruit sellers as opinion leaders and essential pieces in the brand’s distribution chain.

The Asociación de Cooperativas Hortofrutícolas de Val Venosta (Association of Fruit and Vegetable Grower Cooperatives of Val Venosta), VI.P, is made up of seven cooperatives and over 1,720 producers that cultivate over 5,200 hectares in the Venosta Valley, situated in the Italian Alps. 92% of its production is obtained by applying integrated cultivation techniques. The remaining 8% of its product is ecological. This line, Bio Val Venosta, has an average harvest that exceeds 25,000 tonnes and is sold mainly on the Italian and German markets.
