The company from La Rioja has received the top award in the medium-sized and large company category of the Extremadura Business Excellence Awards held on the 3rd of May of this year in Merida.
Luis Aliseda, manager of the company, who represented the Provedo family at this event, received the prize from the President of the Government of Extremadura, Guillermo Fernández Vara.
These awards are aimed at promoting the culture of excellence and acknowledging the companies that count on this and work towards continuous improvement in the management methods used in their organisations.
Provedo is a family-run, agricultural business devoted to the production and sale of vine plants and fruit trees. Its head offices have been located in Logroño since 1939 and this was followed later on by the opening of more branches all over Spain, with the one in Don Benito, Badajoz, holding most importance since then, and where the R&D+i test laboratory for fruit varieties was decided to be installed.
