‘Broccoli Week’

From the end of April until the 8th of May, the ‘1st Broccoli Week’ took place at 10,000 points of sale all over Spain. It was aimed at offering consumers ideas with new ways to cook and eat broccoli, as well as informing them about its healthy benefits. In order to do this, one million broccoli heads were put on sale with tickets prepared for the campaign, stating ‘Think of yourself, +tasty, +healthy, +simple’.

In addition to this, consumers could visit the ‘Piensa en ti’ (Think of yourself), micro website, where actions were carried out involving the leaders of the media and influencers in the online world. The campaign included a competition on social networks where, using the hashtag #siempreconbrocoli, internet users were encouraged to share their favourite way of eating broccoli through a message, a video or a photo on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Mercadona, Consum, Ahorramás, Alcampo, Caprabo, Carrefour, Covirán, Día, Dinosol, El Árbol, Grupo El Corte Inglés, Eroski, Masymas, Casa Ametller, SorliDiscau, Sabeco, Upper, Condis, Lidl, Miquel Alimentació, Fruit Sa2Pe, Aldi and Grupo Hermanos Martín are the distribution chains that supported this initiative.
