Induser is presenting two new solutions

These are the Associative Shelf Weigher for larger, more delicate produce, and the Pasopack Packaging machine

Inspired by current customer requirements and those that are to come in the near future, the Almeria company Induser arrives at Fruit Attraction with two interesting proposals. The first one is the Associative Shelf Weigher, a machine that can package larger, more delicate produce and carry out different confections with multicolour mixes. Alaina Ferretti, head of marketing, explains that the machine’s operation is characterised by an “extra-delicate treatment” of the produce (a basic requirement in the case of bilberries and cherries), minimising the number of times the fruit is dropped from a height and allowing adaptability to larger produce such as California peppers, stone fruit, pears, apples, citrus fruit… It also maintains all the benefits of its circular associative weigher, already well-known in the sector: great accuracy of 0.1 gm. and a maximum weighing error of 1 gm.; integration with the multi-format line to work with all kinds of packages (tubs, clamshells, buckets, bags, heat-sealed…) and agility for large productions.

The other important proposal that will be on display on its stand (Hall 9, B14) is anticipating a trend that is already very popular in the U.S.A.: zipper bag packaging. Its new Pasopack Packaging Machine for pre-shaped bags allows automatic filling with a step-by-step process that takes the bag, opens it, fills it and closes it. Amongst its advantages, Ferretti points out its flexibility and speed to adapt to different formats, sizes, materials and closures (heat-sealed, resealable zipper, etc.) using servomotors, with a delicate treatment of the produce.

Thanks to its direct contact with customers and suppliers expert in packaging all over the world, and to visits to trade fairs in the sector in the US, South America and Europe, Induser foresees a great future for this type of packaging within the fresh fruit and vegetable segment. “The open-close seal with zipper allows consumers to re-use the bag as many times as they want, which is very useful, not only due to its hermetic nature, which lengthens the life of the produce, but also because it aids transport. As it is not rigid, it takes up less space than a tub or any other traditional packaging, and it weighs less. With regard to image, the companies have the chance to create attractive, eye-catching designs at a low cost, helping to position their brand on the supermarket shelves.”

After passing through the Madrid trade fair, Induser will be present at the Expo Agrícola in Guanajuato (Mexico).
