Balcón de Níjar is coming to Fruit Attraction with an important new development. From this campaign onwards, the company that specialises in ecological cherry tomatoes is extending its product range with new references: peppers and aubergines. The first line will be centred on bio California production and it will be offered in the winter cycle. The manager, David Caparrós, explained to Fruit Today that this diversification strategy is the result of customer demands and although it will have reduced volumes at first, he does not rule out increasing these if the demand grows.
In recent campaigns, the company from Almeria has incorporated new products such as peas and watermelon and it has extended the surface area of round, pear and vine cherry tomato summer crops; although round cherry tomatoes continue to be the mainstay of the company’s production.
During the last campaign, Balcón de Níjar reached an invoicing of around 6 million euros and 3,200 Tm of produce.
