CIV strengthens its presence in the UK and Northern Europe

CIV has appointed Alin Borleanu as Variety & Development Manager for the UK and Northern European markets, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and international growth in the strawberry sector

Borleanu brings more than 20 years of experience in the strawberry and berry industry, having worked with leading organisations such as NIAB and Bayer Crop Science. Throughout his career, he has developed strong expertise in varietal trials, applied research and crop management, positioning him as a specialist in bridging the gap between breeding programmes and commercial production.

In his new role, he will be responsible for coordinating CIV’s strawberry trial activities across the UK, focusing on evaluating agronomic performance and fruit quality in one of the company’s key strategic markets. His work will contribute to ensuring that new varieties meet the evolving demands of growers and the wider supply chain.
