Europe expects peach and nectarine crop to rise by 9% in 2026
European peach and nectarine production is expected to recover in 2026 after a 2025 season marked by sharp contrasts between countries. According to data presented in Lleida during Interprunus, the International Peach and Nectarine Forum, European output is forecast at 3.41 million tonnes, up 9% compared with 2025 and 11% above the 2020-2024 average

Fewer fruit exports and more vegetables in Q1 as total volume falls by 1%
Spanish fresh fruit and vegetable exports fell by 1% in volume in the first quarter of 2026, totalling 3.4 million tonnes. The decline was mainly due to the lower weight of fruit exports, which dropped by 4.5%, while vegetables gained prominence, with volumes up 2%, according to data from the Department of Customs and Excise processed by FEPEX
