Held at AsiaWorld-Expo, the event also featured 27 national and regional pavilions, making it the most international edition in the show’s history.
David Axiotis, Managing Director of Messe Berlin China, highlighted the strong international participation, the level of business activity generated during the event and the quality of the contacts established between companies and buyers.
More than 1,600 buyers join the new Buyer Program
One of the main new features of this year’s edition was the Buyer Program, designed to facilitate business meetings between suppliers and qualified buyers.
The initiative brought together more than 1,600 buyers, who had access to pre-scheduled meetings with growers, exporters, marketers and technology providers.
The show attracted strong buyer representation from mainland China, Japan, South Korea, Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Russia, among other markets.
More than 50 experts analyse the evolution of Asian markets
The Asiafruit Knowledge Centre, powered by Asiafruit Magazine, brought together more than 50 industry professionals and experts over the three-day event.
The programme addressed issues including global shipping challenges, the evolution of fresh produce trade in Asia and the outlook for major markets such as China and the Middle East.
Speakers included representatives from companies such as Driscoll’s, Sunkist Growers and Dole China, who discussed marketing strategies aimed at Asian consumers.
The programme also featured the Nuts and Dried Fruit Forum and the Frozen Fruit and Vegetables Forum, focusing on growth opportunities in both segments.

The ASIA FRUIT AWARDS 2026 were also presented during the show, recognising companies and initiatives across Asia’s fresh produce business.

Zespri received the Marketing Campaign of the Year Award; Freco International was named Importer of the Year; Tops/Central Food Retail won Produce Retailer of the Year; and Goodfarmer Fruit Group received the Impact Award for its contribution to the development of China’s fresh produce industry.
FRESHTech debuts with more than 35 technology exhibitors
Another major development in 2026 was the launch of FRESHTech, the dedicated platform for technology across the fresh produce value chain.
The area brought together more than 35 technology exhibitors from over 22 countries and regions and featured a two-day programme with more than 25 speakers.
Solutions showcased covered areas including smart agriculture, automation, cold chain, traceability and artificial intelligence.
The inaugural FRESHTech Innovation Award went to Ryp Labs, Inc. for StixFresh/Shelf Defense, a sticker-based technology designed to extend the shelf life of fresh produce and reduce spoilage.
The other two finalists were Ocean Network Express (ONE), with its Dual-Temperature Refrigerated Container, and Wyma Solutions, with its Optical Vege-Trimmer™.
Asia Fruit Logistica to return in September 2027
The show also continued its partnership with Feeding Hong Kong, with exhibitors donating surplus fresh produce to the organisation once the event had ended.
Following the close of this year’s edition, organisers have confirmed that Asia Fruit Logistica will return to Hong Kong from 7 to 9 September 2027, once again at AsiaWorld-Expo.
The next edition will mark a milestone for the event, as it celebrates its 20th anniversary under the slogan “20 Years of Fresh. Growing the next decades.”
