Mexico, the leading light of the Red Fruit Congress

29 May, 2019

The fifth edition of this international event will have Mexico as one of the most important countries

The 5th International Red Fruit Congress, registration for which may now be formalised at www.congresofrutosrojos.com, will have Mexico as one of the starring countries, with the presence of the general manager of the National Association of Berry Exporters of Mexico (Aneberries), Juan José Flores Garcia, who will bring his country’s experience as a berry producing country, particularly of blueberries, to Spain.

Additionally, the opening conference will be entrusted to Leopoldo Abadía, a doctor in industrial engineering and ITP Harvard Business School, who will also speak about the present and future ups and downs of the economy, in order to open the Congress’ space for technical conferences.

The International Red Fruit Congress, with the Fundación Caja Rural del Sur as its exclusive main sponsor, is also institutionally sponsored by the Council of Huelva, the Provincial Council and the Department for Agriculture, Livestock, Fishing and Sustainable Development; and with the collaboration of the most important fruit and vegetable growing trade fairs in the world, such as Fruit Logística and Fruit Attraction.

Alberto Garrocho, chairman of Freshuelva, was “very excited” about this fifth edition, in which over 50 companies will display their produce and where some “highly interesting” technical seminars are being configured, covering topics as important as marketing on new markets, varieties, the sector’s commitment to sustainability or berries’ contribution to health.
