At Zespri®, they have a commitment with consumers: ensuring that they enjoy a delicious, nutritional, top quality kiwi throughout the year, which is also grown in a sustainable way.

To obtain this, they work very closely alongside the farmers all over the world and this allows them to guarantee that the different varieties of Zespri® kiwis maintain the same standards. In this way, they make sure that all their collaborators apply the Zespri® System, a meticulous and exclusive, environmentally integrated production system, which covers the growing, harvesting, storage and transport phases.

Aimed at offering new kiwi varieties and, at the same time, minimising the impact on the environment, the company’s R&D+i is based exclusively on natural cultivation techniques.

Thanks to the continuous work with the farmers and to this determined commitment to sustainable innovation, they offer kiwi varieties that respond to the new market trends and to the consumers’ tastes and preferences. The green kiwi, Zespri Green, and more recently, the yellow variety, Zespri SunGold, are clear examples of this.

The Zespri Green kiwi is the best-known variety from Zespri®, a fruit that is highly valued by consumers all over the world due to its excellent refreshing flavour and its delicious texture, which bring a pleasant sensation of lightness and wellbeing. A kiwi that is ideal for taking anywhere and eating at any time of the day, which contains a wide variety of nutrients and is rich in fibre, contributing to the digestive health of anyone who eats this fruit regularly.

The Zespri SunGold variety is the result of over 10 years of research and development, following strictly natural methods, starting out with the selection of the best kiwi seeds. A variety that is exclusive to Zespri®, which manages to combine juiciness with a mild sweetness that is very pleasurable on the palate and that has been very well received by consumers both to be eaten as a whole fruit or for incorporating in their everyday recipes. The yellow kiwi, Zespri SunGold is the fruit with the highest nutritional density of all the most popular fruits and its significant vitamin C level stands out, tripling the amount contained in oranges, providing the daily recommended amount of this vitamin, which is so important for our organism.
