EcoVadis, the global benchmark for resilient and sustainable supply chains, has announced its selection as a member of the newly created AI Act Advisory Forum of the European Commission. This strategic appointment reinforces EcoVadis’ commitment to advancing responsible AI and expanding intelligence applied to sustainable supply chains worldwide.

“Being selected to join the AI Act Advisory Forum is an important achievement for us. As we continue to integrate AI into our core operations, we remain committed to ensuring that our technologies are transparent, explainable and aligned with the highest ethical standards.

This Forum represents a key platform to contribute our expertise in sustainable and responsible AI and ultimately help shape a regulatory framework that fosters trust and innovation across Europe,” said Sophia Katrenko, Vice President of AI/ML at EcoVadis.

A bridge between regulators and the market

Created under Article 67 of the EU AI Act, the Advisory Forum acts as an essential bridge between European regulators — in particular, the AI Office — and market stakeholders.

Tasked with providing specialised technical expertise, the Forum will guide the implementation of the world’s first comprehensive regulation on artificial intelligence, ensuring practical and forward-looking compliance standards.

From a pool of more than 700 applications from civil society, academia and industry, EcoVadis was selected among the 174 appointed members. The group includes some of the most prominent organisations and leaders in the field of artificial intelligence and computational technology.

Over the next two years, EcoVadis will represent the interests of transparency in sustainable supply chains.

A direct voice in technical requirements

This role gives EcoVadis a direct voice in translating the regulatory text into concrete technical requirements for software development, data privacy and product deployment.

It also consolidates the company’s position as a reference in AI governance, expanding its proactive alignment with European standards into active participation in policy definition.
