Huelva concentrates the most important production area for red berries (strawberries, blackberries and blueberries) in the European Union, with particular emphasis on the marketing and export of these crops.
For this reason, it is only natural for the most important international meeting of the berry sector to be held in this province, bringing together under a single roof in Casa Colón, Huelva, the producing, marketing and exporting companies, as well as the supplier and service companies that interact in this sector.
On the 22nd and 23rd of June, 2022, the Congress will host an extensive programme of activities to analyse the current situation and the future challenges for red berries, as well as promoting business meetings and exchanges and the presentation of services and products linked to the berry sector.
The Berry Fruit Congress includes different spaces and activities: the official conference, speech and debate programme, an exhibition area for companies, speeches and sales presentations for products and services, a meeting place and business meetings.
The Congress’ organisation is repeating its alliances, which are also making an important effort to continue alongside the sector, as does the main, exclusive sponsor, the Fundación Caja Rural del Sur. Institutional sponsors such as the Huelva City Council, the Provincial Government, the Department of Farming, Livestock, Fishing and Sustainable Development and Extenda-Andalucia Exportación e Inversión Extranjera (Foreign Promotion Agency in Andalusia) are also taking part again.
The participation of international speakers is backed up by the collaboration of the Congress’ usual sponsors, including the most important international fruit and vegetable trade fairs, Fruit Logística in Berlin and Fruit Attraction, which will be held once again in Madrid in the first week of October.
In addition, the Congress will also be supported by its ‘Media Partners’, amongst which is our publication, Fruit Today Magazine.
