Sorma Group is showcasing two major innovations at Fruit Attraction 2026, making fruit processing faster, more precise and more automated. The Group, a leading technical partner for post-harvest processing and packaging, is presenting a broad portfolio of innovative technologies at Hall P03, Stand 3D22, designed to improve the profitability and sustainability of the fresh produce supply chain.
Sorma’s latest fruit-processing innovations
Making its world debut at the international trade fair in Madrid is EVA-700, Sorma’s new pre-grading machine, which eliminates the need for a manual sorting table. Designed to be installed directly into the processing line, EVA-700 automates the removal of overripe or unsuitable fruit before it moves further through the process.
By increasing sorting reliability and automating a traditionally manual task, the technology helps reduce production costs, increase sorting speed and improve the quality of the final product.
Fruit Attraction 2026 is also the showcase for Ultra-Scan, a technology developed by Sorma to detect internal defects in fruit. Its vision system is capable of analysing the fruit all the way to its core while maintaining a processing speed of up to 15 pieces per second.
This makes it possible to assess the entire fruit, from the surface through to its innermost parts, providing a more comprehensive evaluation of its actual quality.
Ultra-Scan complements other advanced quality measurement systems introduced by Sorma in recent years, including Hyper Vision, which accurately classifies fruit according to external parameters such as colour, shape, diameter and surface defects, as well as internal and external quality characteristics; BioScan, which measures Brix levels; and PulpVision, which analyses the internal colour of kiwifruit.
“The innovations we are presenting at Fruit Attraction, both developed by our Spanish subsidiary, are available across all our markets,” explains Sergio Alonso, Product Marketing Manager at Sorma Ibérica. “These new solutions demonstrate our ability to deliver automation, new technologies and sustainable solutions that help make the fresh produce sector more profitable, safer and better prepared for the future.”
Efficient and sustainable packaging
Sorma is also showcasing its latest packaging technologies at Fruit Attraction, including P&P-800, a pick & place solution that automates the placement of fruit into trays and boxes.
Powered by a precision system supported by Sormatech-AI artificial intelligence, P&P-800 reduces the number of operators required on the processing line while improving process consistency, production efficiency and the final presentation of the pack.
By automating processing operations, packing facilities, particularly those operating multiple shifts, can potentially recover their investment in the machinery within a single season.

Also on display is Sorma Clipless, a mesh packaging solution that eliminates the need for metal clips. The system simplifies packaging recycling operations, improves productivity during packing and provides greater strength, versatility and space for communication on the retail shelf.
In addition to its performance advantages, Sorma Clipless complies with the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, which entered into force in August 2026. The technology is also designed to respond to future regulatory requirements: the possibility of using different materials with the same technology means that compostable materials can potentially be introduced in the future without replacing the packaging system.
“We are delighted to present our latest innovations at Fruit Attraction,” says Silvia Albanese, Marketing Specialist at Sorma Group. “Thanks to the continuous, high-level work of our R&D departments, we are providing the fresh produce sector with new tools to address the challenges of tomorrow.”
Sorma Group is exhibiting at Fruit Attraction from 6 to 8 October at Hall P03, Stand 3D22.
