With an extensive professional career in the fruit and vegetable sector, Areste notes that “day-to-day activity at Mercabarna is an endless source of knowledge and professional development.”

He explains: “At Aresca Fruits, I have brought together all the knowledge and experience acquired throughout my career. I belong to the fifth generation of a family dedicated to the fruit and vegetable trade. We began as retailers, and the fourth generation later made the transition from retail to wholesale, relocating the company to Mercabarna.”

Areste adds that the company’s strategic objective “is to continue along the path we have followed to date, consolidating the Costa BCN brand as a tool for differentiation and market positioning. We are an import-export company based at Mercabarna, which enables us to meet the full range of our customers’ requirements by combining the market’s resources with our own.”
