The new brand from Tropical Millenium, involving ripe avocados is aimed at end consumers with a product that is ready to eat.
The company from Malaga, Tropical Millenium will be present at Fruit Logística to strengthen, improve and value new business opportunities between clients and collaborators. On its stand, located in hall 7, stand 7.2C, visitors will be able to get to a closer look at their latest developments, amongst which the brand Monsieur Tropical stands out for avocados at their perfect point of ripeness and which is aimed at consumers. This new reference is added to its already consolidated M DE PREMIUM (limited edition cardboard and wooden versions) and Selecta Tropical.
The private company has over 14 years of experience in marketing avocados, mangos and papayas, offering comprehensive solutions for purchase, sale and consumption. It works globally, importing fruit from Chile, Peru, Africa, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil, to which the local production in the Malaga region of Axarquía is added. On this point, it is worth mentioning its growth in national sales in 2016, which have already equalled the European ones in a 50/50 rate, when only two years ago Spain just represented 20% of the total fruit marketed. Regarding the business invoicing, this was around 23 million euros, almost 20% more than the previous financial year.
Last year, papayas made up 5% of the total volume (approximately 10 million kilos), with avocados as the main reference (75%) and mangos the second (20%). “We are firmly committed to our third product, the papaya, as the healthy fruit with a high potential development in Spain and Europe” the partner executives from the company, Miguel Páez and Javier Fernández stated.
