The Rivoira group, along with Rivoira Zero, has designed a crop and defence regulation aimed at guaranteeing the elimination of 100% of plant protection products. The company guarantees that the apples only, exclusively contain pesticide residues below the analytical quantification limit (less than 0.01 ppm). The result is “a sustainable, certified product.”
Marco Rivoira, Managing Director of the group, states that “the project will start this year, with around three thousand tonnes of Gala, the variety chosen to start this new, ambitious project.”
The main goal, Rivoira explains, is “to improve the product for consumers who are looking for high quality, certified, residue-free fruit. Segmenting the offer even more with a product in an intermediate range in between conventional and organic produce.”
Care has been taken in the production specification down to the smallest detail and the entire supply chain has been managed by technical experts in the field, backed by competent, certified laboratories. Rivoira Zero will be packaged in ecological cardboard and Nature Fresh film, made up of 100% compostable bio plastic.
