The new space brings greater efficiency to the flows of goods, a faster logistics and an increase in marketed volumes.
Antonio Caballero, Manager of the company, explained to Fruit Today that behind the new investments there is also a new added value for the company: a generational handover.
“It involves a very important improvement in infrastructures that will bring us greater flexibility at all points of the chain, and I am sure that our clients are going to notice it, but without any doubt, my greatest pride lies in the fact that, after an entire life devoted to the fruit industry, my son has inherited my passion for the business. This has been the trigger for carrying out the project.”
The executive acknowledges that it has been a race against the clock to start the stone fruit campaign, as there are still small details to be finished, “but it is much more convenient and efficient working in a centre of this size and these characteristics. For this same reason and because the demands for grape preparation are completely different, when the grape season starts, we will move back to our original centre and we will be able to continue fitting the new technology in this one so that we can work continuously here.”
