Moyca, a company specialised in the production and marketing of seedless table grapes, experiences its most important moment of the year in June. The arrival of this month, when the heat begins to rise, marks the start of its campaign, a period when the company begins harvesting its 57 varieties—from the earliest ones, now being picked, to the latest, which will be harvested in November.
All of this fruit is grown on more than 2,300 hectares in Spain, mainly in the Region of Murcia—one of the country’s most important grape-growing areas—but also in Alicante, Almería, Granada, and Badajoz. Moyca grows a wide catalogue of varieties on these lands, ranging from more traditional types to more exotic ones, including grapes with flavours reminiscent of cotton candy, mango, or muscat.
The production of all these grapes is made possible thanks to the work carried out both in the production facilities and in the fields by the company’s employees, who form part of a perfect system that results in grapes of the highest calibre and flavour. In total, Moyca generates more than 10,000 direct jobs annually, not including the indirect employment generated by its supporting companies.
Technology and tradition: the perfect combination
The high demand Moyca receives throughout the year is no coincidence, but rather the result of efficient work by all departments, blending technology and tradition. Its fully automated production plants are the highest example of innovation applied to the agri-food sector: efficiency, traceability, and quality control at every stage of the process.

In the fields, this technological development is complemented by manual labour performed by expert technicians who care for each bunch, ensure proper growth, and achieve the best quality grapes from every vine. Manual tasks include defoliation (removal of leaves to improve airflow and sunlight exposure), thinning, and tipping (selecting which bunches remain and which are removed to promote balanced plant growth and proper grape ripening).
Destination: shelves all over the world
Once harvested, the fruit embarks on a wide-ranging journey. Moyca’s export capacity ensures that consumers around the world can find its products year-round. Europe—and particularly the UK—is the main destination, though the company also supplies markets in the Americas, Africa, and Asia, including the United States, Canada, Dubai, South Africa, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. The quality of this fruit is confirmed not only by demand from these countries, but also by strict compliance with international protocols and certifications.
