EU delays negotiations on the Omnibus Regulation on plant protection products

The Council of the European Union failed, at the latest meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper), to secure the majority needed to approve the compromise text on the Omnibus Regulation on food safety and plant health. As a result, the Regulation cannot move to the next stage of the legislative process: the opening of negotiations with the European Parliament
