The US supermarket chain will double its store network in the United Kingdom this year with the opening of six new locations.

The retailer specialising in natural and organic products will open six new sites in London in the coming months: Angel, Liverpool Street, Notting Hill Gate, Wood Wharf, Monument and St James’s. These openings add to the first UK store launched last year after more than a decade, a site of around 2,000 square metres on King’s Road.

The six new openings will take place between April and June 2026, and will range in size from approximately 300 to 1,000 square metres.

New locations also represent the international expansion of Whole Foods Market’s Daily Shop format, which was launched in New York in 2024. The Daily Shop store design maximises the number of high-quality offerings available in stores of less than 1,300 square metres.

“We’re happy to be expanding Whole Foods Market’s physical store presence in the UK, allowing us to reach more customers with our uncompromising quality standards and carefully curated selection of natural and organic products,” said Jason Buechel, vice president of Amazon’s Worldwide Grocery Stores and CEO of Whole Foods Market.

“Each new store represents an opportunity to bring responsibly sourced, high-quality food to more communities that share our values of nourishing people and the planet.”

The new stores will feature a wide range of certified organic and conventional fresh produce, as well as prepared food options including lunchtime salads, sandwiches and seasonal favourites such as Crackling Cauliflower.

To celebrate the store openings, Whole Foods Market will make monetary donations to community non-profit organisations.
