This new store marks another step forward in ALDI’s continued expansion in Spain and reinforces its commitment to the province of Málaga and to Andalusia as a whole. Andalusia has become the autonomous community with the highest number of ALDI supermarkets, currently hosting more than 110 stores, 34 of which are located in the province of Málaga.
A driver of employment and national growth
The growth in Andalusia reflects the company’s progress across Spain. Over the past five years, ALDI has increased its workforce by more than 42% and now employs over 8,000 people nationwide.
This momentum is further supported by the opening of ALDI’s 500th store in Spain, a figure set to rise in 2026, as the company plans to open 40 additional stores across the country.
ALDI strengthens its presence in Andalusia
In 2025, the company reinforced its position in the Andalusian market with the opening of seven new supermarkets and the reopening of another. In recent months, it also launched three new stores in December in Palma del Río, Pozoblanco and Dos Hermanas.
This latest opening further illustrates ALDI’s growth in southern Spain, where the company employs more than 1,300 people and maintains trusted relationships with over 80 Andalusian suppliers.
The fastest-growing supermarket chain in terms of customers
ALDI’s business model, based on discount pricing and a straightforward shopping experience offering quality products at the lowest price, has resonated strongly with Spanish households. The company now serves 8 million customers in Spain, consolidating its position as the supermarket chain with the highest customer growth over the past four years.

This increase in consumer trust is also reflected in its market presence, where ALDI has achieved a 2% market share, according to the latest annual data from Worldpanel by Numerator.
Low prices for real savings
ALDI’s key strength lies in its ability to act as a “price buffer” within the sector. With an assortment in which 9 out of 10 products are private label, the company helps Spanish families save significantly. According to the latest figures, customers saved an average of €40 per week in 2025, equivalent to nearly €2,000 per household per year.
This commitment to savings is reinforced by an efficient logistics network supported by seven platforms in Spain, ensuring an excellent price-quality ratio. At regional level, the Dos Hermanas (Seville) platform stands out, supplying around 98 supermarkets.
