Caparrós recognised as the ‘Flavour of the Year’

29 May, 2019

2019 is going to be a year to remember for Caparrós Nature. Not only are they commemorating the company’s 35th anniversary, but they are also celebrating several awards for the quality of their produce. The first arrived in February with the ‘Flavour of the Year’ award granted for the company’s famous Lobello (plum vine cherry tomato). And the second, also at the ‘Flavour of the Year 2019’ show, highlights the characteristics of its Premium watermelon.

At this trade fair, a panel made up of around one hundred consumers assess the different products in a blind tasting session according to five criteria: flavour, appearance, smell, texture and general satisfaction. This time, the valuation took place on the 7th of May at the installations of Consumolab, the AINIA Group’s Centre of Studies in Valencia.

In addition to this, since January the company has held a certificate worth mentioning: it has become the first company in the sector in Andalusia to be certified by Aenor as a healthy company. This model, a pioneer throughout the world, is based on internationally acknowledged criteria, as well as on continuous improvement methodology and it understands health as a whole, including physical, mental and social wellbeing.
